Assistant General Manager
Location: Libertyville, IL (Chicago North Suburbs)
Schedule: Full-time, including weekdays and one weekend shift per week
Compensation: $45,000–$55,000, including performance bonuses + PTO + benefits

We are looking for a mission-driven Assistant General Manager to help lead our team, support families, and grow our membership community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Center Operations & Leadership
- Support the General Manager in daily operations, scheduling, and center performance.
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and brand consistency across the facility.
- Oversee front desk operations including check-in, parent inquiries, and transactions.
- Hands-on coaching 5–10 classes weekly using KidStrong’s curriculum.
- Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating coaching staff.
Sales & Community Engagement
- Drive lead follow-up, trial conversion, and membership sales.
- Engage families and create memorable, high-value experiences
- Build lasting relationships with families that keep them coming back
- Support scheduling and promotion of camps, events, and parties.
- Represent KidStrong at community events to increase awareness and inquiries.
Culture & Relationships
- Model KidStrong values in every interaction—with coaches, kids, and parents.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high energy.
- Provide clear, consistent communication to staff and leadership.
Requirements
- Passion for children’s development and energetic environments.
- Leadership or supervisory experience in retail, fitness, or kids’ services preferred.
- Strong sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Physically able to participate in active play with kids.
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Preferred: Experience in child development, boutique fitness, or franchise operations.
